Kai Cenat is officially working with Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR on a new music video for the track “SOMEBODY LOVES ME.” Cenat, who has previously expressed interest in directing Drake’s music videos after seeing the one for “NOKIA,” spoke to Drake about giving 20 people the chance to direct “SOMEBODY LOVES ME.”
Taking to his recent live stream, Cenat said that the project will involve fans in the collaboration offering $15,000 USD to 20 people to be involved. He called out to his fanbase to ask them to submit short clips of ideas between 30 seconds to one minute for the upcoming music video. He explained on his stream while providing an email for fans to submit their work by May 24, 2025, “Y’all also get to play a part. We are choosing somebody who loves me. Everybody who loves directing, everybody who loves to come up with treatments. 30 seconds to a minute of an idea of what y’all got.”
Drake confirmed the collaboration by sharing Kai Cenat’s stream announcement with a caption, “CALLING ALL VI$$$IONARIES.” According to Cenat, potential directors can pick any part of the song to focus on and through the submissions, the clips will be pieced together into a full-length video. The submissions can be sent to SSS4U@Drakerelated.com.
